Seeing as I am not a winter person by any means, I need inspiration for the short days, long nights and cold cold weather. Therefore after perusing some of my favourite websites this morning, I came across these images from British Vogue (http://www.vogue.co.uk/ ) and was happy to see some winter gear. I admit that I am not in love with all of these (I do LOVE the Marc Jacobs though-picture #1 &2 ), but some of them are cute and one has to also give points for creativity :-) So for those of you who are snowbound like myself, be inspired and enjoy...

Dreaming of a 'Parisien' Day...in the summer...or spring...

I recently found an amazing web site: http://www.polyvore.com, which essentially allows you to design, put together and create a wardrobe, a style, a room---virtually anything you crave to create! That being said, when I looked out the window today and saw all the snow piled high, I was inspired to use this little gem to create a fantasy day in Paris-a la mode. I know it's a little childish to play "pretend" (I should technically be marking papers and doing intellectually stimulating academic work :-) but I can't help but indulge the creative little imp that resides within...Enjoy!

Simply amazing... These are based on Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride, I loved the movie (because I love virtually anything that Tim Burton creates-his aesthetic is ridiculous-in a fabulous way!!!) Anyway, I honestly couldn't get enough of these images from Vogue Korea...Enjoy...

Sarah Jessica Parker: "Glamour-ous"-(pun very much intended...)

I picked up the latest issue of Glamour last night-mostly because Sarah Jessica Parker (my fashion muse) was on the cover-but also because I knew there was going to be a snowstorm today (and boy is there ever!) so I needed a distraction from the reality of it all...sigh I just can't seem to find the love for winter...will it ever come? Anyway, Glamour (and Sarah Jessica) did not disappoint! The visuals are great and the lady of the moment also gives some great fashion style tips. Enjoy...

On her personal style: “It’s just simpler,” says Parker. “I don’t buy anything trendy. I used to be more easily seduced by some momentary idea of what was fashionable. Now I’m slightly savvier. I still have the same ideas in my head about what looks good on me and what doesn’t.”

On how to discover your own personal style:“You have to get the idea out of your head that you can only wear what everyone else is wearing,” Parker says. “Then you’ll enjoy dressing more.”

On the 80's Fashion Flashback: "I don’t ever remember wearing neon in real life—though I’m sure there was a moment.”

A Sex and the City Sneak Peek...

I know it's still months away, but I am so excited about this movie that I just couldn't help myself and spoil the fashion surprise by looking up some promo and candid shots of the upcoming Sex and the City Sequel. I am not too sure how I actually feel about the story line (which to be honest I don't know too much about) but I am positive that the visual eye-candy a la fashion will not disappoint!
